Implementing Additive Manufacturing

Most Manufacturing processes are removing materials or subtracting materials such as a goldsmith or even a wafer fabrication, injection molding, etc. In Additive Manufacturing we are adding materials thru a 3D design more well known as 3D Printing. 3D printing is the manufacturing process that joins material based on three dimensional design data using layer upon layer format. It is used for new product introduction, proof of concept model, small volume run, avoiding change overs or making the main process OEE better. There are small component 3D printers used in the ware house to print out spare parts. You will heard 3D printing in Rapid Manufacturing Technology.
