Sexual Harassment @ Workplace
Sexual harassment in the workplace can take many different forms. Unwanted touching, improper comments or jokes, or someone promising you a promotion in exchange for sexual favours can all come from a coworker, a boss, or a customer or client.
It is not necessary for sexual harassment to be “sexual.” Bullying someone or a group of individuals based on their sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation can also take the form of taunting, frightening, or offensive statements based on stereotypes. Sexual harassment can also be about both sex and something else, such as race or ethnicity. A woman of race, for example, may experience workplace harassment in a different way than a white female coworker. Because of the combination of her sex and race or ethnicity, she may be the subject of abusive or aggressive conduct.
